Hi. We have stripped a room which was never plastered, with wallpaper plonked on top of plasterboard. We have now re-lined with paper, prior to painting it. The papering was finished about a week ago and now seems completely dry. Does anybody know if we need to leave it any longer before painting, to ensure that the plasterboard surface under the paper is also dry, or canwe assume that it's now ok to paint?

Perfectly fine. Just use a thinner coat first then go onto a full coat or two after.
