Hello,
I have old cast iron guttering but rather than replace it with the dreadful plastic stuff, I want to renovate them.
They are all in good condition, with small areas of rust that I can treat. I want to paint them. Having looked at the "How to" section on this site it recommends 2 products, paint the inside with zinc chromate paint and finish with the bitumen based paint. The outside paint is no problem as there are numerous types, colours etc, but I cant seem to find zinc chromate anywhere and after searching google, many links recommended avoiding the stuff.
Is there an alternative to the zinc paint that I can paint the insides with, or would you not bother??
Thanks for any advice.
