Hello, any tips on how to avoid that painted tape sticking to the woodwork when painting? Usually I pull carpets up, but this is on our stairs, so I've tucked the tape down the edges, but am finding that possibly when I remove the tape, I'm going to have lines around it where you'll see the primer coat.
I intend to use a sharp blade to assist removing the tapes and then use some 300 grit, dampened, to flatten down the lines from where the paint is sticking. But any tips welcome on how to avoid this in the first place, ensuring the paint gets down behind the carpet pile.
