Painting bathroom wood cladding

Hello
when i moved into this house, the bathroom was cladded and painted in an awful blue colour. It was repainted with grey emulsion which never dried and simply wiped away. I since painted with a kitchen and bathroom paint which has mostly lasted however has chips where the blue is showing through. thinking of repainting however unsure how best to go about this?
