Hi Guys,

I have a cast iron radiator which has been stripped and primed.

Whats the best paint to paint it with, so that it can be rubbed down between coats to get a good finish?

There is in reality confusion regarding certain paints, and further argument with regard to their binders.

Yet as a general rule of thumb paints can be placed in three specific terms, Latex, Acrylic, Solvent Borne. In esscence rubber, plastic, or oil based.
Ronseal do a radiator paint of which is solvent borne, and being a retail product is readily available, this is an enamel coating of which gives good result. One point to remember is that a good quality china bristle brush should be used.

The Hamilton perfection range will offer a good finish.
