Painting Composite Door

Hi everyone

Looking to repaint my composite door what's the best way of going about this should I give it a light sand with say wet and dry? Then just use a satin exterior paint?

Dont use satin as it wont be weather proof. After a gentle sanding, use and oil based undercoat and a decent gloss. Sand between coats.

there is a small dent that has gone through composite front is there anything you would recommend to fill and sand then paint?
