painting composite front door

Hi
I have bought a composite front door from eBay that is white with a realistic wood grain effect.I want to paint it blue or green but can anyone tell me best paint to use considering it is an outside door and can I paint straight onto the door or will I need to prime/key.

Lightly abrade it to give a key, wipe it over with white spirit or turps. Give it a coat of oil based undercoat, let it dry then gently rub it down again and dust off.
Then give it a coat or two of your chosen colour. You shouldn't have any problems with this.
