Painting floorboards white

Hi

Could anyone recommend the best paint to use if I want to paint wooden floorboards white ? Is it worth putting a varnish over the top of the paint ? If so can you recommend one that will not turn the pain yellow ?

its not worth painting floorboards any colour let alone white.

reason is to do a half decent job you need to fill any holes, sand whole lot, then after painting you see any dirt and after a while you literaly wear the paint out, so you have to do it all again.

why not opt for white lino?
