Hi all painters out there.
Has anyone had to deal with painting K-Rend yet. Find this and similar products being used a lot now on the exteriors. I have two clients already having problems, one was from a 125mm vent pipe being drilled through the upper part of a wall leaving a very large 2 metre across redish stain from the iron particles in the sand, it was brushed off at the time but now looks terrible on the pure white finish. Second client has exterior steps and several different patio levels with safety posts and wires running round the walls. Post fixings are not in stainless steel, so now have rusty water trickles down below several of the posts, not looking good after new coat of cream K-Rend a few weeks ago!
K-Rend people not exactly sure of a solution and also not really suggesting doing a repaint over their coating with a Sandtex or Dulux exterior paint.
Not sure how this K-Rend coating going to be looking in a few years time.
Has anyone repainted this stuff after its been on a few years and started to look a bit tatty?
