The glass panels of the two doors I am going to paint are covered in a clear polythene film which makes sanding up to the glass very difficult as the film snags. Should I remove the film prior to sanding / painting and replace with masking tape or be more careful when sanding.
Is the film meant to be left on during the painting process?

I would have thought the film was there to stop the glass being scratched during transportation,
I would remove it, if you havent got a steady hand then use masking tape.
