Hi all,

Turns out I'm not a genius, and drawing on the ceiling to let me know where I've painted over isn't as smart as I think it was. I'm now stuck with ink bleeding through every paint coat that I put over it.

Any idea what to do at this stage?

So rollerball ink is a water based ink but this is out of my remit, I would probably either carry on over-painting until it stops bleeding through or prime the pen marks with something like Zinsser Gardz primer. Or an expert may be along with some better/different advice .....

Thank you so much for replying and for your help!

You could probably just use some white oil-based undercoat.

You may still see where the undercoat was after emulsioning, but this tends to go after week.

I've ended up using Zinsser B-I-N White Multi-surface Matt Primer. Hopefully it will seal the ink in. Already destroyed one brush to it though.
