painting steel containers

Hi all
Been asked to paint some steel containers, as i haven't seen them yet , not sure what it involves ie:- what sort of paint to use how to apply it, do you have to rub them down, would appreciate any advice given.

If you havnt seen them yet then we aint got much chance in advising either....lol

Rough guess....if they are only going to be used for rough work as most containers are....bang on a couple of coats of undercoat...dont sod about with gloss.

ok ok i take the hint maybe it was a bit of a daft question, just thought a bit of advice might help when i go to look at them so i wouldn't make a pratt of myself, looks like i've managed that anyway lol cheers guys
