Hi, I want to lay parquet in our dining room. Can I place it directly onto our floorboards, or do I need to give it a more uniform base....sheets of hardboard for example? Thanks!
A parquet floor needs a straight, level and uniform floor. When installing on existing floorboards you have to screw (every 25cm) chipboard (12mm) on it first. Countersink the screws and sand the chipboard to remove any slight height differences between the chipboard sheets
