Hello there (and thank-you in advance for any replies)
Jsut moved into a new place and have discovered parquet flooring underneath the old carpets. It looks in pretty good condition but there are a few loose blocks. I would like to know the following:
1) How I should fix the loose tiles down (a black substance close to tar has been used originally)?
2) Once the floor is fixed down should I sand down using a large drum sander or with a handheld - basically, will I ruin the floor using too heavy duty a sander?
3) I would like for the flooring to be slightly darker than it is - should I use a stain and then follow up with a varnish layer or should I wax and then varnish (basically I don't know much about this) - so any help on stainign it darker and then protecting it would be great.
Thats about it! Any help much appreciated.
