Hello,
I have just laid 33m of Parquet in my living room, hall and kitchen and into a couple of cupboards. it is reclaimed oak herringbone with border. There are occasional blocks that sit up proud at one corner / side by up to 2mm and others that sit lower by a similar amount. I need to sand these differences out as well as removing the old varnish finish.
I have booked a trio sander and edge sander from floorsanderhire.com but am concerned that i also need a belt sander for the first pass to remove differences. Or could i go around first with the edge sander and a coarse grit removing these trouble spots? The Trio comes with 24 grit which i think must surely be coarse enough to tackle these differences?
Also will two days be enough to get the job done?
Thanks very much,
Jack
