Part 1/2 float valve

Can you swap a part 1 float valve for a part 2. By splitting the valve. And just changing head. So leaving the body of the valve in the tank, connected to the tank connector?

Probably not, they are often different sizes.
They're not difficult to replace with the right tools.

Sorry kid they are interchangeable apart from some ancient 70's budget ones.

Far easier to replace the complete valve!

Never came across a Part One that wasn't ancient..






edit: by plumbing standards, I guess, not geological.
A mesozoic ballcock would upset the world of archeology...
