Hey,

Can someone confirm the socket/switches/control height regs in Part M.

When does it actually apply? I.e.

Existing detached garage, built before Part M, change of use to say a cinema room
New extension to a house built before Part M
Loft/attached garage conversion to a house built before Part M

Do any/all of these fall within the 450mm-1200mm requirement? Even if the rest of the house doesn't?

Thanks

Not that I'm doubting you (at all) - can you guide me to the literature (if possible)?

Whaaaaaaaat! Sounds like you're doubting me! http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/uploads/br/BR_PDF_AD_M_2013.pdf page 13 (of the PDF) Section 0.2 So technically it should be no worse so unless you've stuck a wall socket 2m off the ground or something daft you'll be fine. The not making anything less satisfactory aspect is really to do with access around the property.
