IGNORE THIS - PROBLEM SOLVED
Hi all,
Weird question - I've got an ABS sensor fault in my Honda Civic (Mk9, 2013, 1.8 hatchback). Coincidentally, I bought a sensor a couple of years ago, which was uneeded, but has the part number written on the side of the box: 57470-TV0-E01
Annoyingly, I can't remember whether it is rear left or right sensor and can't work it out from emails.
So I checked on the Honda direct parts website and both nearside and offside have THE SAME part number (57470-TV0-E01 again). See the links here:
https://hondadirectparts.co.uk/part...nda-civic-2012-2016-nearside-rear-abs-sensor/
https://hondadirectparts.co.uk/part...onda-civic-2012-2016-offside-rear-abs-sensor/
So my question is, if the part number is the same, does that mean it is the same sensor on rear left and right? As in, whichever sensor it is that has blown, am I safe to install this part do you think? My thinking is: same part number = same part, so it probably doesn't matter.
Anyone who knows more about these things enlighten me?
Thanks for any help!
John
