Isn't it time for a change? why are they Tory and Labour anyway?

We know the concept of left and right wing, but does that fit in with modern politics and the way the world is?

Conservative = like to keep things as they are (or possibly making jam and other conserves).
Labour = stands for the working man (presumably this excludes those on benefits).
Liberal = believe everyone should be free to do whatever they want (and I assume, because of that, they think we don't need any laws).

Then there were the
Whigs = the party who stood up for slapheads.
