Pasion fruits

My passion flower has lots of passion fruits on but I'm not sure when they are ready. They are a yellowy orange colour at the moment. Tthe skin has a slight leathery feel. Any ideas??!!

I've got passion fruit growing up trellis on 2 fence panels.
I thought you can grow it in this country, but the fruit will be a bit bitter.
I've not tried it though...

Have you tasted one yet?

No!! Not yet. I was waiting to see if someone else had tried first!!! I might taste one tommorrow.......so if you don't hear from me again you know not to eat them!
