Ok always been good to me but not used for about 6 months. Put fresh canister in checked chute but won't fire. Fan runs and smells a bit of gas after.
Light flashes green and about every five secs a red light flashes in-between any ideas?

Gas cannisters in date? Gas cannister warm enough? (They won't always work when freezing cold - in winter you need to keep a spare in your trouser pocket to keep it from freezing and swap round from time to time)

Battery contacts black? (Common fault, caused by arcing) Battery fully charged?

Nail slide clean and no rust? (Does the nail pusher work smoothly?)

When was the gun last cleaned? (Potential build up of carbon inside, carbon on igniter aka "spark plug")

These can be troublesome always worth a good clean, check your canister is good.

Try the other things first, but if they don't work then it might just be gunked up, which requires a bit of a strip down and clean out of the cylinder. Use brake cleaner - far cheaper than the OEM product. There are videos on how to clean a gas nailer on the net.

Once, just once I got a similar problem with brand new Tacwise gas. It was OK if I manually pumped two or three squirts of gas in, but not OK otherwise. Same thing on second canister in pack. It was OK again once I threw the poxy gas canisters away and got some paslode gas.

I cleaned out the cylinder head area especially round the igniter, the main piston area and checked all o-rings. Re applied the paslode oil to the bore and orings, with a fresh paslode gas cylinder works like a charm again thanks.
