Patch plastering for non-DIYer?

Evening all,

Removing an area (1m2) of wallpaper where nextdoor had a leak from their bathroom (now fixed), has pulled with it a thin layer of old plaster.

Is it possible for a couple of non-DIYers to repair this ourselves and if so instructions please?
