Hi,am looking to create a patio area in garden the ground is currently tarmac this is what I am hoping to work off, I am going to use a sleeper edge of 150mm high, I will be using 28mm thick slabs would I need to use type1 then sand to bring it up to required level or could I just use sand as it is on the solid tarmac base . Thanks
