There's some air coming in from the bottom of the patio door. This is how it looks at the moment:

There are some wooden strips at the base that look like they've become loose. The L-shaped strip has some glue on it:

Can I just affix these back in place? How should I do it?
Or is there a better alternative?

2hrs+ and no has answered this post??? :/

Is there a Screwfix near to where you live in Brum?

Ask for a tube of 'Dow Corning 791 Weatherproofing Silicone Sealant Brown 310ml'

While you're there, get a sealant gun, and ask them to prepare it for you, saves you cutting the nozzle, the tube etc. If they can't, then ask them how to be free you leave.

The sealant will give you ..."...unprimed adhesion to both porous and non-porous substrates. Suitable for weather sealing and expansion joints."

Just tape off the white step, and apply a single line all along the brown fixture, and push into place. Wipe off with a damp cloth, and leave to dry.

Ooo, I forgot to mention, wipe clean/vacuum all areas where the strip will join onto.
Fill in any holes where you see necessary to stop a draught coming through too.

Any more Q's, then just pop back here, and ask away.

Thanks for the advice. Yes there's a local screw fix. Do I just glue everything back as it stands or rotate any strips around?

You're welcome. Anytime.

I can make out the L shape plastic piece, which just pushes up against the white plastic, and the laminate floor? Glue both side and stick it on.

The second piece? Looks like its there to tidy it up? Glue it on too, either way.

Just to confirm, is that a laminate piece in front of teh door, or a part of a full laminated area? If it's just one, then to stop the air flow, feel free to do as you did before, and glue around the Laminate piece...

Yup it's just a laminate strip and an edge strip of wood. They've been loose since we bought the house so wasn't sure which way round it went.

Well, if it lifts off? You could just seal under the door, if that's where the draught is coming from?

Either way, it should stop the air movement.

Have a go, and let us know how it went.

On a less windy day, when you can't feel the air coming through, but wanna confirmed it sealed, just place an candle/just-burnt-out match stick/incense stick near any suspicious gap, and you'll see the air move the smoke.

Forgot to update this, but the silicone sealant worked a treat. There were holes in the metal frame of the patio door which needed plugging too.
