Patio French Doors with window in door?

Bit of an odd one, however we've got a rear garage conversion that has a set of French doors but no windows (no suitable place to put them)

We've also got 2 small dogs, so unfortunately keeping the doors open to let some air in isn't ideal, and during the winter months opening the doors means the rain gets in, wind blows them around etc.

With it being an office, it can get a bit stuffy in their and fresh air is always nice

Does anyone know of a double french door set that maybe has 1 an opening window on one of the doors?

Hi,

Although it may not completely solve your problems, an easy DIY fix is to add a couple of trickle vents, if you don't have them already?
There are plenty available on Amazon, you just have to chain drill a slot through the top of the doors and attach the vents.
Some close mesh gauze can be fixed over the holes to stop the midges coming in!
It's not a fully opening window, but it is cheap and it does add some ventilation.
It's one idea anyway!

Yeah we've got trickle vents on the doors already. They're more for general air circulation to stop condensation though rather than letting in fresh air like a window

Basically this with glass top and bottom, with double french doors instead of a single door

When I was a kid we had Crittal style windows and French doors .
The doors had a steel panel at the bottom and small panes of glass compared to modern windows (1928 build)
Other French door designs have a big pane of glass and a wooden panel below.

anything is possible but modifications can be more expensive than renewal.

To be honest, I was looking at a replacement rather than modification! The ones that are in are just your standard french doors like these

Maybe a set of Tilt and slide patio doors? or maybe , using french doors , a Midrail on the doors that in the top half of one door a Tilt and turn window ( seen this done before stable doors were prevalent )

Do you have an example of this? Sounds like it found be feasible. Can't do the window above the door as suggested as the space isn't tall enough

Something like this ,as you can see the door sash is one , with the openings to the top. Rather than a panel at the bottom obviously have clear glass. I've never seen it in a set of french doors but can't think of any reason why it couldn't be done
