I’m thinking of laying paving over old concrete patio. I understand the concerns involved (I’m only doing this in a small area with slate aggregate on the rest) but I’m a bit confused over the level of patio to damp proof course . . . is this if the patio is layered right up to the house?
My patio has a boarder running along the back of the house and there’s a 600mm gap between patio and house. Does the rule still need to apply in this case?
