Patio perimeter wall

Planning to get a patio built around the house in the back garden and wondering if I need a perimeter wall or just the retaining wall at the top and bottom of the patio.

Don't see anything indicating fall direction or patio dimension? Do steps rise or fall toward property?

@foxhole patio dimension is 80sqm roughly and steps rise towards the property. The ground on far left is roughly 40cm higher than the far right side.
