Hi Gents - a bit of help appreciated if you would.

I have just laid my first pebble mosaic in a shower and have used too much adhesive so that in places it has squeezed up as high as the finished grout should be.

My questions are :

1) Can I leave this or will it be a problem ( see additional notes at bottom )?
2) Where there is still some height left, should I bring it up to height with adhesive or grout ?
3) What is the minimum amount of adhesive or grout that I can add and expect it not to crack ? Any preparation that will help it take ( approx 2 m2 ) ?

The mosaic is installed over rubber-sheet tanking bonded to the drain so water penetration not a problem. Walls tanked with de-coupling membrane.

Used a good-quality powder adhesive

Thank you
