hi there,
it seems like i have penetrating damp coming into the basement hallway (underneath the front steps) of my victorian house....it seems that the damp is coming in at the junction of the bottom of the wall and the concrete pathway.....inside the hallway the damp is at head height only.....not any lower where the inside hall wall is actually underground......
the doorway to the basement is on the other side of the front steps.
i have re-pointed and re-painted the wall because the pointing was failing very badly but that was 6 months ago and it hasnt really helped..
is there anything i can do to the outside wall section in the photos to stop the problem bearing in mind that the basement flat is already decorated and ideally i really dont want to mess with it.
many thanks for any advice!
james
