Does anyone use this product to know if its any good?

For a 5L tub, it seems cost effective. Put it in a W5 cleaner sprayer bottle you can get at Lidl and should be as good as WD40?

WD40 isn't primarily a lubricant, it was designed as a 'water displacement ' fluid back in the time of distributors and such like things although it does have lubricating properties but proper lubricants are better.

There are several very good videos on youtube of penetrating oil comparisons, some were better than others although diesel and brake fluid come out fairly well up the list. Have a look.

You reckon this product from Smith and Allan is the same as WD40?

DW40 is a play on the name WD40 I think.

DW40 is made by Smith & Allan and Westway so presumably their versions of WD40.

Had a look at Screwfix and they have a 750ml penetrating No Nonsense product for £5 so may try that.

For penetrating fluid, you want Plusgas.

If you want a general lubricant that might help, then I've found EuroCarPart's Maintenance Fluid is alright. And very cheap.

Diesel on a paintbrush is the most cost effective
