planning a shed/workshop/garden room build and have decided on a pent roof for ease of construction and it would match other outbuildings.
I've hunted the web high and low for an answer to a simple (I think) question.
Is there any reason not to have it slope downwards towards the front of the building?
Everything I see always has the slope going backwards, I always assumed this was just to get the door in the tallest wall, but is there another reason?
In my situation I think I can get the low front wall high enough for a decent door height, and it would make gutter maintenance far easier as the rear of the building will be about a foot away from a fence/hedge.
Cheers
