Hi,
I started a mini project to keep the Mrs happy (happy wife happy life.. they say :D)
She wanted perfect fit blinds on the back kitchen patio doors and window...
I purchased, measurements all good (used Gatortape) BUT The brackets that are meant to slide under the rubber gasket on the internal beads and the glass has damaged my seals :(
I have a eurocell windows and doors. The beading used is (image attached)
The rubber gasket has two "lips" the first lip the bracket passed through no problem with a bit of fairy liquid... and I used slightly more force to push through not realising the bracket was catching the 2nd "lip" and as this lip sits more proud, then when the bead was fitted this 2nd lip curled forward pressed hard against the glass...

Thus there is no way to push that bracket through for the perfect fit blinds without catching that 2nd lip and essentially tearing it and pushing it back as showin in the pics...

I cannot imagine I am the only person with this and to be fair its not obvious to spot at all... you have to look from out side in and at an angle which I doubt most people dont look at ?
Will this cause me issues ? i.e. do I need to replace the beading (I can do myself but the beading I need totals up to £120) but then if I replace the beading then I will back in the same spot ?

I was thinking to replace the beading and the area where I will slide the brackets into to lube up the rubber gasket "alot" so that the bracket can (maybe) slide past that 2nd lip without catching it ?

Appreciate you times reading this and any helpful advice would be great (i.e. dont worry it wont cause issues or fix it then do this when fitting again .....)

Thank You

Thanks mate, but shape what, the bracket ?
If yes donyou mean make the end that goes under the seal shorter so it doea not reach that 2nd lip ?

if yes then i dont think those brackets will hold like that (i had the same idea and placed a bracket up to rhe 2nd lip and it was wobbly
