Probably quite a few questions on this but can't find what I'm after. I have a span of 6 metres to cover but I want to over hang the edges by 400-500mm on either side so now looking at a 7 metre span. This is covered by 3 100x100 posts across the span.
Struggling to source timber either 150mmx47mm or 200mmx47mm at this length so was wondering if I could get away with doing this half and half and join it on the middle post.
Any ideas if this will work, how it might look and the best way to do it?
Fixings I was looking at size 10 coach screws or M10 nut and bolt.
