hi
i have currently building attached to existing at back which goes all the way to roof. in order to do the single storey extension of 6m under PD, do i have to remove this building all the way to roof or only partially ground floor only and keep the first floor as it is?
my council is Hinckley and Bosworth.

The extension is measured from the original wall, demolishing part of the house to achieve pd rights probably wont work.

That looks like part of the original building in which case you can come back 3m off each section of the back wall under PD or 6m under LRE provided the neighbours don't object in which case the council will involve themselves.

The issue you will have is the step where the aircon unit is sat: you will be going SIDEWAYS off this bit and that means the whole new bit is limited to half the original house width.

Assuming you want to go as wide as you can the I'm afraid it's a no go and you'll need to seek PP
