I'm about to build a sot of lean-to / roof affair down the side of the house bridging a 3' pathway between the house and the fench. It will be aboput 15' long. What I'd like to do is use perspex corregated roofing material mounted on a frame. The house would form one 'wall' & the fench the 'other' .. It's quite a sunny part of the house but unfortunatley otherwise a wasted area. My question is will the perspec go all grimy & covered with algea? - Do I need to design the roof with access/cleaning in mind. Commonsense would say why not but it'll be a lot simpler job to just fix it up. There's going to be 15' x 4' of roof. To make it accessible I think I'll have to design it on hinges......ANy comments?
