Peugeot 206 brake light problem !!!!!!

hi there
any way heres there problem when i turn my lights on ( side /head lights)
the brake lights are on all the time
and when i hit the break theres no diffrence
i know the two main pannel light should turn on
and when u hit the break they get brighter and the top center light should turn on

i cant figure this one out
i looked at the book but that was no good
i tryed checking fuses

has anyone fiddled with the wiring connectors?

get yourself a Haynes manual or Peugeot workshop manual (free to borrow from the library) and look at the wiring colours in the book, see if they are the same as in the car.

How long have you had the car, and how long have you had the problem?

Are the lights a bit on the dim side? Might be corroded earth connections

Have the wrong bulbs been fitted ? i.e: Twin filament bulbs in a single filament socket ?
