Hi guys,

I would like to use this photocell for switching 2 sets of low voltage decking lights, which each have a plug-in transformer.

Could I add a 13a FCU onto the kitchen ring main, supplying 1.25mm² via flex outlet, connected to the photocell (straight through the wall into the photocell), then 1.25mm² flex from the photocell feeding a 13a double socket, where both transformers will plug in?

The ring main is easily, neatly accessible from a surface mounted socket near the location.

Thanks

When you apply for Building Regulations approval, what will you say will be the way you intend to ensure compliance with P1?

What will happen when someone (unintentionally or otherwise) plugs a heavy load into the sockets? The heavy load will burn out the contacts on the photocell. Also what will happen when someone plugs something like a lawnmower into the sockets and the photocell turns it on just out of the blue?
