Hi everyone,
I have an existing concrete block wall, 215 thick and roughly 1.4m high. The client would like to add panels about 400-500mm high. I have suggested building them within piers at 2.0m centres, just for some added strength. The panel slats would be about 100mm then a 20mm space, repeated up to the max height.
overall, the piers aren’t high by any means. It is a boundary wall at the back of an house so not too exposed. I think the wall is about 7m long and in great condition.
For context, a neighbour a few houses away has something similar, albeit her wall is 100mm with the standard pier ever 3m. This wall is about 1.7m and has a 300mm panels above and has stood for years..
below are the initial pictures given to me of what they would like, although they don’t want the panels quite as high, as above, 400-500mm at the most.
your thoughts are appreciated.
