ok just need a bit of help/putting right/assuring on this one, if possible for my research:
to check/test if a hw cylinder coil has a pinhole in it, you can do this by:
turning off the cold feed gate valve (service valve) to the cylinder. the flow out of the f & e overflow should immediately stop? is this correct? are there any other ways/things you should check?
if no gate valve fitted for some reason (bunging the cold feed hole inside the cold water tank should also do the same job).
