I've got some plumbing to do on my house. Might be just a little, but who knows?

Any recommendations for pipe benders? I don't mind buying quality, my experience with very cheap tools is that they don't even do the first job you bought them for, never mind the 2nd and 3rd.

Obviously they won't be getting used day in and day out for 20 years, but presumably good ones are more accurate, less likely to damage the pipe, easier to use etc. etc.

And in 20 years when I've given up this DIY mullarkey, my son and daughter will inherit my tools, so I may as well give them decent ones.

Cheers

why not just use elbows,/street elbows to form your bends instead of buying something youl never use

Because, pulled bends offer the least resistance to water flow and if on show look a lot more professional than soldered joints can.

Pulled bends offer the least resistance to water flow and if on show look a lotmore professional than soldered joints can.

3 more reasons;

1) Pulled bends don't leak, unlike some joins

2) Pulled bends are much cheaper, ie. no fittings, flux, solder, gas, etc needed

3) Pulled bends are quicker than ones made from fittings
