Pipe work to shower.

Hi thank you in advance for any help.
Ive a 13 year old 3 story house.
The 2nd floor as in tbe loft room is the main bedroom and ensuite.
In the eves of the ensuite behind the sink is a unvented tank and the mains coming up from downstairs.
I find the taps on the sink of good pressure
But the shower not so good.
The shower runs froma tee on the 22mm main and then straght reduced to 15mm with a isolation valve straight afterwards.
It then runs under the floor and then back behind were the shower is.
Question is would this of been better if it was isolated before the reducer to keep more flow?
Also the isolation valve is one of those with a small screw. See pic

More likely the shower strainers/check valves/flow limiters are problematic.

Its a brand new shower this weekend.

Did you flush the pipework etc. Quality shower or ebay rubbish?

A full bore iso valve will help if its not one. If its one of the cheap ones they have quite a small bore.

It'll make little difference...the water just accelerates through the with a negligeble pressure drop.
What pressure and flowrates have you got...maybe your expectations too high....your shower heads probably 7 meters up and in plenty of places they'll be little pressure left. In London you can forget it.

Maybe that is it about expectations.
Next step is to get the pressure measured.
Just thought with how they trow these newer houses up and keeping costs down that maybe theg hadn't done it the best way when they went from 22 to 15mm.
