Hi guys

I have a 28i Worcester Combi

When I turn on the hot water tap all the pipes seems to bang in protest.

The system has been put in in the last month although I plumbed in the bath/shower last weekend.

Can someone tell me whether there is air in the system (and what to do about it) or whehter theise pipes just move with the pressureof the system (non of the new pipes I put in have by secrued anywhere they just lay on the joists under the boards).

cheers

D

Air usually gets shoved out of mains pressure pipes.

I wouldn't dream of not clipping mains pipes. Even then they can still bang sometimes - try tweaking your mains stop cock.

Hi Chris

I better get them clipped then. How do you do this when they are sat on the joists?

What do you mean by tweak the stop cock?
