I have a Worcester Greenstar boiler and when I switch the central heating on the pipes on the landing make a creaking/knocking noise. I have lifted the floorboards and noticed that the pipes are directly underneath them and therefore touching the boards in some places. Is this what is causing the problem and if so what can I do? I did buy some lagging for the pipes but would be unable to relay the floorboards evenly if I use it. Please advise.
