PIR and Dusk lights

I have today fitted an Pir light with dimmed courtesy light. The problem is that the dimmed courtesy light keeps going on and off and won't stay on after dusk. The main pir light works fine and powers up when it's suppose to. I am at a loss as to understand the problem with this . I took down the one as it was also doing this so I binned it as faulty,but this is doing the same . HELP

What sort of bulb (lamp) is in the fitting? Is it compatable?

The bulb is the one supplied with the light. R7 I think.
