So i think i've messed up in a major way. I am in the final stages of building a extension and have bought a bunch of outdoor lights

They are
Konstsmide Firenze 7236-750 Wall Light with Motion Sensor

Problem is they seem to have no override- The manufactor says they are designed to operate either in just as PIR lights or off.

Ideally i want to be able to run them PIR or have them On (if i am entertaining etc)

Is their a way to do or have I just blown a lot of money on something I can't use? I know nothing about lights but this seems like a basic feature.

thanks for the help

That is 3 core and earth so you can wire up the override as per my diagram.

And the last time I fitted lamps similar to those purchased by the OP the access to the PIR's Switched Live was possible.

Many thanks Bernard, My electrican is coming around tomorrow so I will show him the diagram and have a chat with him.

For other people who might have this problem.

Spoke to the electrican. The back lights had 2 core cables so no chance of having the ability to run the lights on PIR and ON/OFF. So I got him to bypass the PIR and just have them as normal lamps, which is fine for the rear lights.

All the rest of the lights (side and front) have 3 core so he was able to get them working exactly has I need them. (PIR and ON/OFF)

Thanks everyone for your help.
