We have a badly laid concrete path in front of our house. It is sound and fairly new but doesn't look good as it has a fairly pitted surface in places where it hasn't been tamped down properly. We cannot lay anything on top as we cannot really raise the level. Any suggestions how we can make it look a bit better or shall we just leave it alone and hope we get used to it?

Bit difficult to answer, how badly pitted is pitted? When you say you can't really put anything on the top, how much could you raise it by? Depending on the answers then you could either tarmac it, would require raising the level by a bit, or failing that if it's really awful, just hit it with a sledge hammer and redo it. :D

It is fairly bad with pitting all over in small areas. Really have no time to re lay it as it is quite long and we've got lots else to do. Can't raise the height because of adjoining path and driveway. It has to be a fairly quick solution or just leave it.

Hmmm, could be awkward. If you put a thin skim of cement over the top, it'll just break up, sorry, can't think of any easy solution to your problem.
