Plainer Machine gear

hello,
i have an old plainer machine and the gear is broken.please see picture below. i am having great difficulty getting a replacement and i am hoping someone can give me some advise as to where to get one. i have been looking at ebay but in vain.
any advise is welcome and please see image attached.

Retired now but we would have had one made at a local engineering shop.
Coudn't say how much though.

kofi - a make & model number might help. If you haven't got these then a photo of the machine to help ID it ... better help may then follow.
