-We were granted planning permission in a joint application for front and back extensions in 2016.
- We then reapplied in a joint application for the front to be larger. This was refused.
- We had to reapply for the rear only to resize it as there was a storm drain in the way.
-we’ve just reapplied for a larger front extension and this looks like it may be refused due to the neighbourhood planning committee objecting.

So, the rear extension is being built (slow process as construction materials and foundations, concrete etc are via the house) but we’re not sure if the original front application that was granted would still stand given it was approved as part of an original joint application for front and back and we started the back?

Thanks in advance!

Usually planning consent is time limited to 3 years, so did you get your 2016 consent renewed to extend the date.

Unfortunately not - we started the rear in time, but I fear that as we then had to update that one, we’ve split the planning permission.

Which rear extension are you building, the one with the front extension permission or the one without? There's your answer.

But the OP "had to" reapply for a bigger rear extension because of the drain, so it seems like that permission was enacted. Without the front extension.
