I am tiling my bathroom, wall and floor. Was gonna hire a tile cutter but HSS quoted me £20 a day for a manual and £45 for an electrical.

Nipped into B&Q and saw this

Anygood? All my tiles are ceramic, wall tiles are 7mm thick, floor tiles 6mm thick.

The pack reckons you can do straight, curved and 45° mitre cuts!

Quite tempted to try a few mitre cuts around the window but mainly I'm interested in if this is a decent machine for straight cuts for edge tiles

Look for the b&q own brand one I think its a tenner less but if you compare them you will see its the same cutter rebranded. I would not rely on it being able to do mitres, I bought the plas plugs master tiler one and it is kak at mitres. Mainly because once you are over half way across tile there is nothing to guide the tile and you get a noticeable step in the cut.

Anyone used this to do curved notches for pipes?

Will I need to do it freehand?

Better off using a tile saw?
