Hello what size plasterboard screws should i get for 12.5mm plasterboard to be screwed to joists? (for ceiling). Also what screws should i be using for plasterboard to be screwed to rafters with a 45mm insulation board inbetween the board and rafters?

Cheers

40mm and 60mm respectively.

use the black drywall bugle heads. very sharp and start real easy.

you can also buy a screwdriver bit that releases the screw head, just before it punctures the paper.

60mm won't be much good if the insulation is 45 and board 12.5 giving a total depth of 57.5. You will need to go upto 75mm Drywall screws.

Make sure you don't drive them too deep and tear the paper.
